The adult Snowy Owl was still on Keystone Spit on Sunday morning, in the same
place as reported on Saturday, and I had excellent views, though as I left it
was being pursued eastwards by an enthusiastic photographer.

Also in the area were a peregrine chasing ducks on Crockett Lake, and two
dark red tailed hawks. One of these was an adult dark morph with all dark under
body and bright rufous upper tail. The other had no rufous in its plumage at
all, and had an all charcoal gray underbody, dark wing coverts flecked white,
pale flight feathers from below, and unbanded tail which was gray at rest but
showed white feather edgings when fanned. I wondered if this might be a Harlan's
Hawk, though I did not see any pale streaking on the breast.

There was a male Eurasian Wigeon among the American Wigeon on the lake.
