Subject: [Tweeters] Binocular help for an aged birder

I just recently bought a pair of Canon 10x42 image stabilized bins and they
are excellent. The stabilization allows them to be held by one hand and
still be clear. The glass is very good too, sharp out to the edges. And,
yes, they are a little heavier than normal bins, but the stabilization
cancels that disadvantage. After a while my arms get tired but the view is
crisp all the time. Caption's Nautical has them in stock, as does Glazer's
camera, both in Seattle, and of course Anacortes telescope does too.

Chatters,
Can anyone offer any help for a 86 year old friend. His hands shake a
little bit and his eyesight has recently gotten worse. He has a pair of
Leica 8's, but finds that they are not powerful enough for him anymore.
He recently got a pair of 10's that are too heavy. Anyone in the same
boat, or anyone who knows somebody in the same boat, that has found a
solution?
