Hello Tweets,

Today we have had an adult WHITE-THROATED SPARROW visiting our front yard amongst a small scattered flock of Dark-eyed"Oregon"Juncos. This is our 2nd personal record for our yard, but it is more special since the bird has been present off and on all day. The weather remained very cold with mostly rain with some snow showers today, but conditions have settled as of recently. The bird was quite "skittish",but at times came out from dense bushes to feed by itself or with the "Oregon"Juncos. Hopefully the bird may linger a few days in our yard or perhaps longer! We also have our regular Anna's Hummingbirds with 4 birds noted today using our hummingbird feeders. A single Merlin made a brief appearance atop a evergreen tree across from our yard earlier in the day,but all or "feeder birds" quickly came back.

We have placed 2 photos of the White-throated Sparrow from our yard today onto our website, which can be accessed at the following link: http://www.pbase.com/godwit/november05photos/

Good birding,
