Subject: [Tweeters] Marymoor Park Report (Redmond, King Co., WA) 2005-11-30

Tweets - a rather sleepy and cold morning today, starting with lots of cloud
and some fog (and even a drop or two), but slowly clearing to the point that
we could see blue skies and our shadows. There were birds around most of
the walk, though mostly it was just chickadees, kinglets, Song Sparrows, and
Spotted Towhees. We did manage a pretty typical 54 species, though, and we
had the usual highlights:

Greater Scaup Pair in slough, First of Fall
Western Grebe Two well out on the lake
Cooper's Hawk TWO immatures
Pileated Woodpecker One flying NE at about 8:00
Northern Shrike Adult in s. end of meadows
W.-throated Sparrow White-stripe at 2nd dog swim beach
Western Meadowlark 4 north of Compost Piles

Ho hum. Shrike, white-throated sparrow, meadowlarks - typical Marymoor
winter day. The last 4 weeks have seen a sameness of species. Don't get me
wrong, it's a NICE list of birds...
