September 30, 6:02 AM - This is Tom Aversa calling about a trip
yesterday. I was out at Vantage at the Ginkgo State Park up on the
bluffs there. There was a PLACKPOLL WARBLER, a fall plumage bird. Not
much variety in the flock other than a whole bunch of YELLOW-RUMPS.
Surprisingly dead calm at five in the afternoon. Had some nice long
looks at this bird. Also about five TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRES and three
early PACIFIC LOONS out on the river. Further east at Soap Lake there
was a SANDERLING, a BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER, and twelve LESSER
YELLOWLEGS. Thanks.
