Hi Tweets,

Sorry for the late post, a computer meltdown created some problems.
Learning Point: It's best not to run the computer during a major storm
A trip yesterday to Sun Lakes State Park and Potholes State Park yielded a
few notable birds.
Most notable was a third year LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL that was loafing
with a small number of California Gulls on Blue Lake. The bird was resting
on a small dock near the resort at the north end of Blue Lake. I believe it
is the same bird that was present through the winter last year.
Potholes State Park produced the second BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLER of the
season. This bird was foraging in the oaks near the boat launch parking lot
with a large group of Yellow-rumps.
Other notable birds that were located during the trip included:

Soap Lake:

Sanderling - 1 juvenile
Black-bellied Plover - 1
Greater Scaup - 5

Blue Lake:

Golden Eagle - 1 adult

Sun Lakes State Park:

Golden-crowned Sparrow - 1

All in all a good day, even though it was windy a little wet.

Cheers
