I have also witnessed crow trials.
This happened about 20 years ago long before I became as interested in
birds as I am now, so I wasn't as observant as I would be now.
A dozen or so birds were scuffling on my front lawn. I have no idea how
long their racket went on but when I left the house that morning I found
a dead crow on the grass. I was most perturbed because I was ready for
church and now had to take time to bury this dead bird so I wouldn't come
home to a worse mess.
