Hello Tweets,

We have updated our October 2005 gallery with many new photos from the past 2 days taken from the Westport-Tokeland area. These photos include a bright juvenile Black-bellied Plover at Bottle Beach, the juvenile Hudsonian Godwit and up to 2 separate Bar-tailed Godwits at Westport, Long-billed Curlews and a male Black Scoter at Westport. In addition we have placed 2 separate photos of 2 Bar-tailed Godwits and the Hudsonian Godwit with several Marbled Godwits at Westport in a single photo. We had fun taking several photos of the Hudsonian Godwit in flight,of which a few photos of those are posted too. The Long-billed Curlew photos were also great and were are best so far, which can be difficult to approach.

We have also placed photos of both Bar-tailed Godwits taken at the Tokeland Marina yesterday evening,of which were not observed together and nearly look alike in overall plumage. One of the Bar-tailed Godwits is far more plumper however and seemed far more restful than the other. Of the 4 separate locations involving Bar-tailed Godwits this season between Bill's Spit and Tokeland we figure some of the birds could be of the same individuals. Hopefully other birders will get to enjoy these fall specialties!Anyhow, we hope you will enjoy our latest additions onto our website!
