This morning I led an ELWAS walk at Marymoor, and by about 11:30 we had
reached the compost piles. In amongst the many birds was the CLAY-COLORED
SPARROW, first seen a week and a half ago. It very cooperatively sat for a
couple of minutes on a bare blackberry vine with an immature WHITE-CROWNED
on one side, and a SAVANNAH on the other. Great comparisons. I was
especially pleased, as I had missed it last week.

Also of note for the morning:
NORTHERN HARRIER - immature
1 TURKEY VULTURE heading south
2 Hummingbirds chasing each other: 1 an ANNA'S, but the other not ID'd. It
was smaller, with a shorter tail, but couldn't get much else. A late
RUFOUS?

A very nice morning, and best of all, sunshine.
