I received this e-mail this morning and I went and found the Northern
Wheatear along with eight other birders---
The bird is still there it's now 11:40 am.

I took some pics of a bird that I couldn't identify yesterday, so I
sent them off to a well known V.I. birder. He said it was a Northern
Wheatear, and it had only been seen once before in B.C.,at the Victoria
airport,in 1970. There have only been 4 sightings of the bird in Western
North America. If you're interested in seeing him, he's in the French
Creek estuary ,Columbia Beach side, near the ocean.
