Saw and heard my yard's first Dark-eyed Junco of the fall today. The
neighborhood No. Flickers have returned, or at least they're a lot more
vocal than they have been lo these past summer months. Steller's Jays and
squirrels appear to be more active re searching for food. My feeder empties
every 2 days or so, mostly due to House Sparrows and the occasional House
Finch.

My yard list is now up to 31 species, thanks to Caspian Tern fly-overs
during the summer. Whoopie!
