I am bemused. Dog lovers in their own bailiwick are upset by rude birders
in a park where birders are upset by dog lovers chasing away birds. And
private property owners are upset by rude birders on their own land using tapes and
climbing fences. And if you're a dog-lover (except in the country), it's a
bonus to find a place to let your dog play without bothering anyone or
anything.

Perhaps we (and I'm an 80-year-old birder) could agree to share the lovely
places where we find birds with others who find the same places also perfect
for other activities. Without acrimony.

There aren't many of us left, dear friends, so let's try to amicably share
