Dear Tweeters,

On October 9, I saw two Bar-tailed Godwits at Jensen
Access, Fir Island (Skagit Cty). I suspect they are
the same two that were there a few weeks ago.

Also present were a single Pacific Golden Plover,
Long-billed Dowitchers, Black-bellied Plover, Greater
Yellowlegs, a Lapland Longspur, and lots of American
Pipits.

At the Hayton Preserve were about 40 Snow Geese, the
first I have noticed this season.

On October 8, I saw a Parasitic Jaeger in Lopez Sound
(San Juan County). This was from the Anacortes-Friday
Harbor ferry. There were also quite a few Bonaparte's
and Heermann's Gulls, small numbers of Common Murres
and Rhinoceros Auklets, and several unidentified murrelets.

Yours truly,

Gary Bletsch
