Hello All,
My thoughts are that this odd deformity in this Costa's could be weather related. Perhaps its pipette of a tongue froze at some point. Most things freeze in Idaho during the winter. This may have occurred while the bird was in torpor during one of those balmy winter nights that Idaho is so famous for. Just a thought.
