Sunday (10.09.05) there was a STILT SANDPIPER at the south beach at Soap Lake. At Sun Lake were 2 young WHITE-WINGED SCOTERS. At Lake Lenore was an adult male SURF SCOTER.
Today (10.10.05) the STILT SANDPIPER was at the same place and there was a RED PHALAROPE at the north end of Soap Lake. ( I also had a Red Phalarope at Soap Lake on 10.13.02.) The WW SCOTERS were still at Sun Lake today.
Other shorebirds at Soap Lake were LEAST SANDPIPER, LESSER YELLOWLEGS, LONG-BILLED DOWITCHER, BAIRD'S SANDPIPER AND PECTORAL SANDPIPER.
