Hello tweeters,

I saw Mallards scavenging on dead fish on the Satsop River before. I've been told by duck hunters that Mallards that have eaten fish don't taste well.

Hi Michael and Tweeters,

The Mallards here (Portage Bay) will eat the same dead
little fish the crows going fishing for. I have also
watched Mallards eat rotten dead salmon on the
sandbars or shores of the Cedar River. Yuck, a duck
with fish breathe.
