Subject: [Tweeters] Lewis' Woodpecker still present on Vashon

The Lewis' Woodpecker was still present today at John and Ellier Friars' house and was actively flycatching. Visitors also spotted a Mourning Dove in the same yard yesterday. A female Eurasian Wigeon and a female pintail were on nearby ponds. If anyone comes to visit and plans to do some other birding on the island, I'd be glad to send directions to some other locations for good birding. For example, Fisher's Pond, a quick stop about a mile off the highway, has dozens of Wood Ducks, ravens and other interesting birds.
