Well . . . I figured since I was one of those who left Marymoor this morning
before the *real* fun began, that I'd go back and try to find the Swamp
Sparrow that I wanted to see from the word go . . . despite the ever graying
drippy skies (that got drippier).

After quite a bit of bounding through the seemingly birdless deep grass in
the vicinity of Matt and Michael's sighting, I found a couple of Lincoln's
Sparrows, but no Swamp. For my trouble, I managed to flush a WILSON'S SNIPE
from a small wet muddy area just south of the gravel path.

I'll probably go back tomorrow morning with the hope that the birds will
have their batteries charged and be more active . . . and it won't be
raining.

If you like roosting Blue Herons, here's one memoir from this morning when
the sun was sort of shining for a bit at 8:34am . . .
