They have been recaptured in the summer and in Jan/Feb.

Lots of houses in the neighborhood have feeders up, the majority only in the summer, but I hear Anna's chattering all year long, a block or two in any direction, so I know that there are a number of Anna's near my house. I also have the Cole Nature Park (Lake Forest Park) adjoining my back boundry. The ravine comes up from Lake Washington and stays reasonably warm--there are native salmonberries, flowering currents, thimbleberries, and ample habitat for nesting. There are also red-breasted sapsuckers--I have seen hummers in January and February eating the sap from their drill holes.
