Hello All,
Yesterday while birding western Walla Walla Co. we came across the single
largest flock of starlings we have ever observed in Walla Walla Co.. We
estamated 60,000 birds along Dodd Rd.. Weighing in at roughly 2.9 OZ each,
this sighting would amount to about 5437.5 tons of starlings. Thats heavy
man. This also brings to mind a whole different way of keeping track of bird
numbers.
