During a whale watching trip in the San Juans (out of Anacortes) earlier
today I saw a loose flock of about 40 Snow Geese fly over western Blakely
Island. Also of interest were 6 Marbled Murrelets and about 55 Pacific Loons
most of which were in partial or full breeding plumage. The mammal highlight
were the Orcas from the J-pod with some L-pod whales mixed in off western
San Juan Island.
