Hello, Tweeters,

This week on BirdNote, Steller's Jay, the mimic, is up, along with a Native
American myth-- How Raven Made the Tide, plus the Pileated Woodpecker, a
story on raptors and wind farms, and the long story in the song of the
Winter Wren.

BirdNote is a radio series, two minutes per episode, about the intriguing
ways of birds, incorporating songs and calls provided by Cornell University
and by other sound recordists. Each is accompanied by a photograph on our
web site. All episodes are in the archives, both in written transcript and
mp3 format, along with their photographs.
