Hello All,
This morning MerryLynn and I birded the WWRdelta, Dodd Rd. and Hood Park.
Birds observed on the Walla Walla River delta were...........

Killdeer................................14 birds
Long-billed Dowitcher........148 birds
STILT SANDPIPER............3 birds
Dunlin...................................9 birds
Western Sandpiper................2 birds
Pectoral Sandpiper................5 birds

The poop piles

Merlin.....................................1 sucklii
Herring Gull...........................2 birds
Ring-billed Gull.....................12,000-15,000 birds in the air over the
Tyson slaughter plant. I have never seen this many gulls at one time in this
county. There were up to 3000 R-b Gulls on the poop piles along HWY 12 that
lifted off all at once and joined this massive flock in the air. Very
impressive to say the least! Very few four year gulls in the mix.
Coopers Hawk.......................1 bird

Hood Park

Yellow-rumped Warbler........140 birds
Orange-crowned Warbler.......2
Red-breasted Nuthatch...........4

Well that is it.
Later Mike
