Hello all,

Just returned from Hood Canal and found 11 Dogfish and a Murre dead on the boat ramp in Union. The same gillnetter from last week did it again. He also left a pile of crabs. Turns out indians can dump their waste catch whenever, wherever on Hood Canal.

On a happier note, their was a Common Loon among all the usual birds. I don't know if they breed any where on the canal but I have been seeing more and more lately. Their was a small species of gull I can't I.D. picking bait fish out of a giant school all around the boat. A Bald Eagle was also being harrassed by about a dozen other gulls.
