Tweets - I'm leading a Seattle Audubon trip on Friday up to Spencer Island,
so today I did a scouting trip. I was overcast and foggy, though the fog
wasn't too bad once I actually got there. There were a few bang-bangs from
hunters at the north end of th island, and quite a few dog walkers on the
trail you have to take to get to the island during this construction at the
sewage ponds. I didn't see anyone else actually on Spencer Island, though.

Had a few birds that I thought were of interest, though nothing
earthshaking:

SNOW GOOSE 350+ flying overhead
Cinamon Teal 10+, maybe a BWTE too
Barrow's Goldeneye Nice drake just south of
cross-island dike
Long-billed Dowitcher 20-30, good looks
Merlin 1 over cross-island dike
Peregrine Falcon Pair just into the hunting
area
Mourning Dove 1 near the barn
VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOW One flying south over the south end of the
island

Very few sparrows, unfortunately.
