Monday, October 10th, 10:10AM. Hi, this is John Triers(?) on Vashon Island,
phone number (206) 463-9881. My wife and I this morning observed a LEWIS'S
WOODPECKER sitting in our neighbor's yard. It is still there and has been
there about 30 minutes. Thank you.

Saturday, October 15th, 12:07PM. This is Joyce Meyer, (425) 881-5422, and I've
been leading a field trip on Camano Island today, Saturday, and at Triangle
Cove we had a NORTHERN SHRIKE. A beautiful bird and if anyone wants to see
it, it's at Triangle Cove on Camano Island.

Wishing you good birding. Goodby.

Saturday, October 15th, 5:54PM. Hi, this is Joyce Meyer, (425) 881-5422.
Also while birding Camano Island during a field trip, we had a very good
look at a HERMIT THRUSH at Livingston Bay that was perched and working in
the downed logs there on the shore. At Caballero Count Park, we had a
beautiful look at a fully breeding plumaged RED-THROATED LOON. Good day and
good birding.

Sunday, October 16th, 10:56AM. This is Andy Stepniewski, reporting a
BLACK-THROATED BLUE WARBLER, Oct. 16 in Wapato, Washington. To reach this
area take I-82 east to Yakima, Exit 40. At the exit stop sign, turn right,
go 2 miles then left on West Parker Heights. A half mile on this road to
Windy Point Drive, north on Windy Point Drive to just after a row of
conifers, make a sharp right, at the end of this lane is one home. Before
the steps to the entrance to the house, look in a walnut and fall colored
sumacs to your left. It's hanging out in there. About 10 people have seen it
so far.
