Wayne mentioned the extralimital reports of Western Scrub Jays and linked them to the low production of acorns by the Oregon White Oaks. This could easily explain why I have received three sighting reports of ACORN WOODPECKERS in Clark County during the last two months. One person was able to take conclusive photos of one of these woodpeckers in her yard in Vancouver.
