Hello, The adult Harris's Sparrow again made a brief appearance at my feeder
yesterday (19 Oct). Despite many hours of observation, the bird has only
been detected twice since 4 Oct. I know several people have been trying to
catch a glimpse of this elusive bird since it first appeared at my house on
27 Sept; it's not too late!
Speaking of elusive birds, I was thrilled to learn yesterday that I'd been
selected as one of participants in the search for the Ivory-billed
Woodpecker to be conducted this winter in Arkansas. Though I know my chances
of actually seeing the bird are near zero, I can't wait just to be there!!
