For the third Thursday (Oct. 20) in a row I've spotted a Green Heron at
Green Lake. The bird has consistently been in the vicinity of the Greenlake
Small Craft Center. On the two previous Thursdays, it was on a tree limb
hanging very low over the lake a little north of the Small Craft Center.
Today, the bird was on the concrete on the back side of the small craft
center, easily and closely observed from the dock nearest the craft center.
The bird seemed completely unconcerned by the runners stretching on the
dock. It was there at 11 am. today, bathed in sunlight, and still in the
same spot when I returned at 1:15.
