Hello Tweets,

I just saw a pair of Northern Harriers fly over my house, heading south. I've
never seen them in my neighborhood before and they look so different when
they aren't lazily flying low over a field. This has been a great year for new
yard birds: Vaux's Swift, Townsend's Warbler, Yellow Warbler, Brown Creeper,
Northern Harrier, and Winter Wren (two seen today in my backyard). A Merlin has
also been hanging out on the block and a gorgeous adult Cooper's Hawk flew into
our front yard last week. A Hermit Thrush has also been hanging around for
weeks and enjoying the native berries in the backyard.
