On the way home from work Friday evening Oct. 21, I stopped by the
Steigerwald Lake N.W.R. and glassed the marsh from the pull-off on
Highway 14 at Milepost 18. There were three WHITE-TAILED KITES working
over the wetlands, the largest number that I have ever seen at once on
this refuge.
