Yeh, I realize most thinking birders would expect the Ivory-billed Woodpecker to have arrived from Mexico. But I like to take a less traveled path. My reasons are too long (and somewhat fuzzy) to go into here. But what led me to think along the Cuban origin lines was the viewpoint of an expert in a nature magazine back around 1999 or 2000. That got me to wondering about why he held such a view.
