I've been keeping an eye on a Black-capped chickadee in my back yard
that has only one leg as he/she adapts. Seems to do all right when
getting a drink of water:

and I noticed that when it gets a sunflower seed from a feeder that it
always goes to the same exact spot in a shrub to break it open:

It seems to have chosen the spot so it can use the branch right behind
the one it's sitting on to rest it's tail for some stability as it holds
the seed in it's foot and pecks at it to get at the inside:
