This thread is a perfect segue, as it were, to encourage everyone to have a
look at the documentary, "The End of Suburbia/Oil Depletion and the Collapse of
the American Dream." It's an absorbing film that is as frightening as it is
informative. You might well come away with an eye toward changing your driving
habits for all sorts of things, including those ever-popular birdwatching
jaunts.

The producers of this film want people to copy it and share the information
with others, so I've been offering copies, through our newsletter, for the cost
of the videotape ($2). If anyone is interested, let me know.
