I have NOT found that I am spending any less time
birding due to the cost of gas.

But that has not been the main problem with me getting
out birding: having the TIME available is what keeps
me out of the field! a 4 year-old girl(almost 5
already!) keeps me at home at lot of weekends, when
grandma is not around to baby-sit!

I like the idea of birding car-pools, though. I've
tried several times, and have about a 50% success rate
for finding folks to travel with.
And I may have some time this weekend, so I may send
out another request for car-poolers this weekend, so
Heads-Up!
