Subject: [Tweeters] Gas Prices and Birding Trips

I have never gone on a birding trip. What an interesting idea, going out
just to look at birds. I shall have to try that sometime, see if I can. My
own naturalisting trips have stayed about the same. Since I work for myself
I track my mileage and expenses closely. My actual mileage for the past
three months is within 50 miles of what I have driven the past two years and
the cost of driving has increased $45 a month since a year ago, which is
about what I used to spend on Lattes, which I no longer drink. While this
increase is noticable, it is not an economic problem even at my meagre
income level. So there is little economic deterrent to going where I want
to, when I want to.
