Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday October 27. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

On October 22 a PARKINSON?S PETREL was reported 30 nm west of Lane County. A
COOK?S PETREL was reported October 20, 80 miles west of Curry County.

Good movements of TUNDRA SWANS and WHITE-WINGED SCOTERS were reported during
the week. EURASIAN WIGEON were reported from many wigeon flocks. Many single
SNOW GEESE are now being seen among the goose flocks in the Willamette
Valley, with a flock of 300 now on Sauvie Island.

On October 20 a TROPICAL KINGBIRD was at Port Orford. The next day two were
at nearby Cape Blanco. On October 24 one was at Yaquina Bay.

On October 22 a flock of 380 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS were at Coos Bay. Three
CLARK?S GREBES were at Tillamook Bay October 24. On October 22 two ROCK
SANDPIPERS were on Barview Jetty at Tillamook Bay. Another ROCK SANDPIPER
was seen October 25 at the cove at Seaside. The next day a WILSON?S WARBLER
was in Seaside.

On October 21 three WHITE-TAILED KITES were at the Steigerwald NWR near
Washougal. One is now along Farmer Road near Baskett Slough NWR. On October
20 five WESTERN GREBES, a CLARK?S GREBE, and three HORNED GREBES were on the
Fernhill Wetlands in Forest Grove. One or two AMERICAN TREE SPARROWS are now
at Jackson Bottom in Hillsboro. A NORTHERN SHRIKE was seen October 24 at
Finley NWR. On October 22 three WHITE-WINGED SCOTERS were on Foster
Reservoir near Sweet Home. A LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE is now back on the east side
of Ward Butte near Brownsville, where one wintered last year. On October 23
a BLACK SCOTER was at Lost Creek Dam on the Rogue River.

A PACIFIC LOON was seen October 22 on the Columbia River at Cascade Locks.
That day over 4200 BONAPARTE?S GULLS were at Link river in Klamath Falls. An
adult male ANNA?S HUMMINGBIRD is now coming to a feeder in Ontario.
