DIRECTIONS: TOTEM LAKE
Take I-405 north of Kirkland to exit 20B, NE 124th St. At the intersection
of 124th continue straight through, and also continue straight through
(across) Totem Lk Blvd. Take the first road to your right, I think it's
Totem Lk Way. It looks like it's going to office bldgs. You will see the
lake on your right. Park in the parking that is near the wetland. Walk the
boardwalk for views of marsh birds, waterfowl, and possibly accipiters. It
can be quite productive, in an urban-type area, especially in the mornings.

And, be sure to pick up a Totem Lake Bird List (about 90 species) near the
parking lot boardwalk. There should always be a few there as I replace about a
dozen each week.

Early morning is a great time but also the hour before sunset is very
productive as the Bushtits and assorted Warblers come through.

The King Conservation District volunteers will be there on Saturday to
continue their planting of native plants so say hello to them if you see them.
