Hello-
I'm relitivly new to bird watching (less than a year) so I haven't got
my fill of local birds yet. I started by learning the birds that came to
my backyard feeder. Then I began to notice birds while I was walking my
dog at Wallace Swamp Creek Park, so I started taking my binoculars w/ me
on our daily walks. to my amazement, I now have a list of 65+ species
seen in the park Today I wanted a change of scenery so I went to Blyth P
ark in Bothell
I was disappointed, I heard things that I could not see, I expected shore
birds and water fowl but found only mallards. I didn?t even see
chickadees, towhees or robins.
Crow
Bushtit
Bewick?s Wren
Winter Wren
Mallard
Red Tailed Hawk
Song Sparrow
Ruby Crowned Kinglet
Golden Crowned Kinglet
Anna?s Hummingbird
Downy Woodpecker
Northern Flicker

Heard but not seen

Black capped Chickadee
Brown Creeper
Red-breasted Nuthatch
Steller?s Jay
on the way home I decided to look at Logboom park.
I was pleasently surprised. I had gone looking for birds there once
before and came up w/ next to nothing.Today I saw:
American Crow
European Starling
Red-winged Blackbird
Hooded Merganser
American Coot
Killdeer
Black Capped Chickadee
Great Blue Heron
Mallard
Glaucous Winged Gull
House Finch
House Sparrow
Double Crested Cormorant
American Wigeon
Ring Billed Gull
Northern Shoveler

Heard only
Towhee

There were also ducks and gulls that I couldn't identify, I'll need to
study up before I go again.
It was a great day and I traveled less than 5 miles.
