Greetings,

All of a sudden, it's the end of October and thoughts of the Christmas Bird
Count (CBC) are dancing in my head. The Bellingham CBC, one of the oldest CBCs
in Washington state (since 1967), will take place this year on Sunday,
December 18.
Many of our stalwart counters have been at it for years but it seems that the
inevitable attrition rate is thinning our ranks. With that in mind, we'd like
to hear from folks who might be interested in joining us. Call me or e-mail
me with your contact info. I'll add your name to the list and be in touch with
you shortly thereafter. The count is always fun and topped off at day's end
with a super potluck and a lively tally on the big board to see how many species
we were able to locate.
Neither rain, nor sleet, etc.... will keep us from counting birds on December
18.
