Hello Tweets,

We have updated our October 05 gallery with 16 new photos all taken yesterday from various locations including both Bar-tailed Godwits and a cooperative Great Blue Heron at the Tokeland Marina and Snowy Plovers at Midway Beach Rd. Our photos of the Bar-tailed Godwits are no of the best quality due to side lighting at the time,but are mainly for "proof" showing both birds,as well as single bird with Marbled Godwits. We enjoyed photographing several Snowy Plovers at Midway Beach Rd.,including a few banded birds! Most of the Snowy Plover we observed were young birds with only a few adult birds noted. We also enjoyed taking photos of one of the Snowy Plovers with it's wing extended,which was new to our photo collection! We were jus happy to see all the birds even if they appeared quite "spooky",but most of the birds at times just rested in tire grooves along the upper beach.
