On the 1998 Sequim-Dungeness CBC (21 December), JoLynn Edwards, Mike
Willison, and I tallied 47 Common Ravens flocking with an even larger number
of crows at a goat farm along the road to Diamond Point. Evidently they were
finding good pickings. When I reported on the size of this flock at the
countdown party that evening nobody seemed to think it was particularly
remarkable, but it remains by far the largest gathering of ravens I have
ever come across.
