Hi all

Brian - will you have a car? If you will in half a day you can hit probably
one of a couple of decent spots. One is the Bobelaine Audubon Sanctuary -
430 acres of riparian vegetation along the Feather River. Another spot is
the Cosumnes River Preserve south of town. Only problem, it keeping yourself
to half a day at these spots.

Try going to the Sacramento Audubon website - www.sacramentoaudubon.org --
they have a listing of the interesting birds reported, and you probably can
get information there on folks to talk to about good spots to go to with a
short time available. While I lived there for twenty years, it has been some
time and conditions may have changed.

Have a great time - lots of great birding down that way.
