Tweets,

Just a follow up to Kathy's post. The Buff-breasted Sandpiper was still
there until at least 10:30 AM, Friday, Sept. 2, at Marymoor Park in Lot B
and/or the adjacent socker field with the usual Killdeers.

This is the first well-documented King County record of which I'm aware.
There was an earlier, rather casual report in Higbee and Larrisons book,
_Union Bay Marsh_, dating from probably sometime in the 1950s when the marsh
looked rather different that it does today.

A fine bird so close to home. I managed to get one rather fuzzy digiscope
shot, though Steve X was there with an impressive 400 mm lens and no doubt
did much better with photos.
