Hi Tweets,

Yesterday Gina Sheridan and I spent a long day birding several locations in
Grant County searching primarily for migrant passerines. Even though the
temperatures were high it was a very productive day with many highlights and
some very good birds located. The following is an abbreviated list of what
we located.

Perch Point:

CLAY-COLORED SPARROW (Grant County first?) - 1
White-crowned Sparrow
Orange-crowned Warbler
Western Sandpiper
Lesser Yellowlegs
Greater Yellowlegs
Stilt Sandpiper

Potholes State Park:

White-crowned Sparrow
Swainson's Thrush (great views)
Winter Wren
House Wren
Bewick's Wren
Lincoln's Sparrow
Red-breasted Nuthatch
Orange-crowned Warbler
Wilson's Warbler
MacGillivray's Warbler
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Nashville Warbler

Sun Lakes State Park:

White-crowned Sparrow
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Wilson's Warbler
BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLER
AMERICAN REDSTART
RED-EYED VIREO
Hammond's Flycatcher

Blue Heron Park (Moses Lake):

Cooper's Hawk

All in all it was a great day as Gina was able to add thirteen or so birds
to her county list and I was able to add six to the county year list and one
(Clay-colored Sparrow) to my state list.

A great day

Cheers
