September 10, 7:36 PM - This is Bill Shelmerdine. I'm staying in
Westport this evening. This afternoon between 4:30 and 6:30 we had a
juvenile CURLEW SANDPIPER at Bottle Beach on the high tide. We had
great looks and great photographs. About four of us saw the bird very
well. I'd like to point out that Connie Sidles first tipped me off
to the possibility that there was a probable or possible CURLEW
SANDPIPER in the area, so thanks to Connie. Good luck if you chase
it. It was on the high tide.

September 10, 9:06 PM - This is Steven Mlodinov. Today at Lyons Ferry
there was a BROAD-WINGED HAWK, a mature bird. Seemed to be heading
down the Palouse River toward the Snake River. Also a SLATE-COLORED
JUNCO. At Palouse Falls there was a very early HARLAN'S HAWK. Those
were the main highlights. Good luck and good birding.

September 11, 2:53 PM - This is Gary Bletsch. Today at 8:00 AM there
was one BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER and eight or more LAPLAND LONGSPURS
at the Hayden Snow Goose Preserve on Fir Island. These bands were
seen in the second field on the left dirt field. It took quite a
while to find them in a scope. Patient scanning suggested.
