Western Scrub Jays can be found reliably in downtown Puyallup near Puyallup
High School and Maplewood Elementary School. We live a few blocks from PHS
and individuals occasionally show up in the two large American Chestnuts on
my block, and the hundred foot+ Sequoia on the next block.

When I lived on South Hill in the vicinity of 136th and Military I heard one
once, I think in 2000.

"to announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we
are
to stand by the president, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and
servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public."

-Teddy Roosevelt

"...I am glad I shall never be young without wild country to be young in. Of
what avail are forty freedoms without a blank spot on the map?"

-Aldo Leopold, A Sand County Almanac
