Subject: [Tweeters] Three Sandhill Cranes near Tacoma

Yesterday around 5:30 p.m. Natalie and I watched a trio of SANDHILL
CRANES fly overhead as we picked up our weekly vegetables from Terry's
Berries along River Road, midway between Tacoma and Puyallup. The cranes
circled over farm fields closer to the old Pioneer Highway, over near
Swan Creek.

Tonight we were treated to a pair of SHARP-SHINNED HAWKS hunting in our
neighborhood. The two accipiters landed briefly in the top of the same
tree, then they split up to hunt in different areas of Tacoma's North End.

Happy birding!
