Hello Tweets,

This is just a "shot in the dark." But after looking at Sibley's, I'd say there's a chance that the bird on the photo is a "Timberline" Brewer's Sparrow. The sharp face pattern and dark bill is what I'm referring to.

My experience with Brewers Sparrows is mostly from 1969-1971 in southeast Arizona, where I was stationed in the Army. But I did manage to encounter a couple in Okanogan County, also years ago, for my WA list.

I hope you get opinions from real experts on this.
