Dear Tweeters,

On Sept 19, I hiked up Sibley Pass, off Cascade River
Rd in Skagit Cty. Highlights included three different
Golden Eagles (one immature made abortive attack on
big hoary marmot), lots of N Harriers, five
Grey-crowned Rosy Finches, thirteen Horned Larks, a
Lapland Longspur, and two unidentified accipiters. In
the brush and forest below were lots of White- and
Golden-crowned Sparrows, some Fox, Savannah, Song, and
Lincoln's Sparrows, lots of Orange-crowned Warblers, a
late MacGillivray's, a few Audubon's Warblers, two
Townsend's Solitaires, and lots of the other common
forest birds.
